Who is Nero Anyway?
Nero is a British electronic music trio composed of producers Dan Stephens and Joe Ray, along with vocalist Alana Watson. They gained prominence with their debut album “Welcome Reality” in 2011, which featured hits like “Promises” and “Me & You.” The album’s success earned them a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.
After releasing their second album “Between II Worlds” in 2015, the group members pursued side projects, with Stephens and Watson forming the electronic pop project The Night, and Ray embarking on solo endeavors. Despite these ventures, Nero remained active, releasing remixes and new music.
In recent years, Nero has returned to the spotlight, joining deadmau5’s “We Are Friends” tour in 2022 and releasing the single “Renegade” featuring RL Grime, marking their first original release since 2018.
