Who is AN21 Anyway?
Born Antoine Gabriel Michel Haydamous Josefsson in Stockholm, Sweden, AN21 is the younger brother of Steve Angello from Swedish House Mafia. He burst onto the EDM scene in the late 2000s, quickly gaining recognition for his dynamic productions and high-energy DJ sets. His collaborative remix of Pendulum’s “The Island” alongside Steve Angello and Max Vangeli was dubbed the “Hottest Track in the World” by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, cementing his status as a rising star in the electronic music world.
AN21’s discography is a testament to his versatility and passion for music. His debut album, People Of The Night (2012), created in collaboration with Max Vangeli, featured a host of notable artists including Tiësto, Example, and Julie McKnight. After a brief hiatus, AN21 made a triumphant return with tracks like “Alright” (2022) and “Love’s Not Over” (2023), the latter opening SIZE Records’ 20-year celebration. His latest EP, 21:21 (2023), showcases his evolution as an artist, blending his past inspirations with current passions.
In 2023, AN21’s single “Liquid Gold” garnered early support from renowned artists like Adam Beyer, Kevin De Vries, and Steve Angello, marking a significant milestone in his career. With his renewed energy and innovative sound, AN21 continues to captivate audiences worldwide, solidifying his place in the electronic music landscape.
